When I read the post on the United forum I initially thought Attarians comments could have been refering to recalls/new hires to either side, but the context was specifically to instructors at TK and how they are going to have to spool it back up. I am pretty sure he was talking about United recalls, (but subject to change). This brings up the question of what are they going to do if both sides need pilots? After the way we have been treated, I am pretty sure that there are a lot of United furloughees that would happily go thru training at Continental and then bail the minute they get recalled to United. If the cost is $40K to train a pilot and 200 pilots did that, that is $8 mil, not chump change. And then they would have to replace those pilots with others that could end up doing the same thing. I don't think they will have to call ten to get one, my guess is three or four to get one because our guys haven't been out that long. It's all a guess..
