I think the shortest line I've seen out of JFK was 5 days. On the bid page you have to select that you want 17 days in a row and that you will waive having 2 days off between trips. I'm normally a wreck when I get home, may have been deadheading 20 hours and I'm 8 timezones off. I only want to go through that once a month. Some guys like the Miami base because most of the flying is north/south and they don't get beat up as bad.

If you don't live in base you can lose a day having to get in position or you finish up too late to get out of town and lose a day traveling home. Again, another reason to go to work once a month. If you live in base it's not an issue.
