One thing I can't stand on the MD-88/90 is when the FAs block passengers from boarding so they can serve drinks to first class. Funny you say that. My brother and a couple of his work friends are DL 2+ Million Milers and they really appreciate a minute break between F and Y boarding to get situated and a drink before the onslaught. They say it really separates DL from WN.
