Yes, not only is it a chicken**** thing to do to NW, it could conceivably deprive them of a revenue ticket, and that's really not a nice thing to do. Why are you penalizing NWA when the problem you have is with FedEx? I hope you don't take it out on your dog when your wife gets mad at you.
JetJok, You answer your own question later in the post. Why do I do it? Because I want to start my trip from home and catch up to the scheduled DH ie. stay protected and use the GT. Had you not canceled your scheduled ticket to mumbaibucktew you would have had no worries. Provided your bank didn't take a hit. Most of the time, when I remember, I call Global Travel and cancel the scheduled ticket, it saves some hassels. I have been known to forget. But, rule number 1 is it is all about me.
