In the end it doesn't matter if teachers or any other state worker is paid enough for what they do. Their employer is going broke. When the airlines were failing, we took pay/benefit cuts. It sucked and it was painful. But we had to do it. States are going broke. They cannot afford the compensation package of state workers. There is no choice but to cut that compensation.

I fully support the governors of the states that are finally doing something about their budgets.
