Had this discussion with a friend about AA. He's an Austin guy, bottom of the list at Delta, loves it here and lives a cushy life but he ran through the numbers for AA retirement and as he said it'd be very tempting when they do start hiring to go there.

Even if they're the only ones who didn't get to restructure and even if the stock ebbs and flows but never ascends high, if a lot of people leave then that amount of movement is just as good as being at an airline that's expanding... imho.
Rumor has it.....
AA's SL has more pilots Age 60+ than they do under the age of 40.

Simple math says if all else stays consistent between present day & next year, Dec 2012 will be when the flood gates come a flown over at AA.
