appreciate all the responses, and yes i have done my homework, but the issue i'm trying to get a handle on is how coveted are these few openings that are about to occur? or will there be sufficient hiring that my credentials will be good enough? i'm sure everybody has friends at all the airlines right? hell, even a 3 yr regional pilot has more than 2000 hours doesn't he?
Yes, you can go to the Guard/Reserve. But if you're trying to get a Guard/Reserve retirement, then I'd expect to pay back all of your VSP money when you hit age 60 (or whatever age you start getting your retirement).
