Default Delta Hiring

Airline apps sent a e-mail to me that Delta is now accepting applications here is the excerpt from the e-mail. Thought some folks could use the info and get a jump start. Good luck and hope this info helps someone.

Delta anticipates a need for new hire pilots in early 2007 and has an excellent outlook for continual hiring.

The Basic Qualifications for pilot employment at Delta Air Lines are:
At least twenty-one years of age.
A graduate of a four-year degree program from a college or university accredited by a recognized accrediting organization. Postgraduate education will be given favorable consideration.
Currently hold a FAA commercial fixed-wing pilot license with an instrument rating.
A current FAA ATP written exam at time of interview.
Minimum of 1,200 hours of total documented flight time.
Minimum of 1,000 hours of fixed wing turboprop or turbofan time.
Note: When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, among other things, quality, quantity, recency, and verifiability of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight operations; hours flown as PIC; and extent of flying experience. Applicants invited to interview must provide appropriate documentation of all flight hours.
A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Able to pass a DOT required pre-employment drug test and a medical exam administered by Delta. A current passport or other travel documents enabling the bearer to freely exit and reenter the U.S. (multiple reentry status) and be legally eligible to work in the U.S. (possess proper working documents).
Able to pass a TSA required fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check and a Delta background check.

As stated on Delta’s website, “Delta Air Lines offers customers service to more destinations than any other global airline with Delta and Delta Connection carrier service to 295 destinations in 46 countries. With more than 50 new international routes added in the last year, Delta is America’s fastest growing international airline and is the world’s leading carrier between the United States and Europe with flights to 29 trans-Atlantic destinations. To Latin America, Delta offers nearly 500 weekly flights to 47 destinations and is on track to become the second-largest carrier in the region.” Delta Air Lines is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

Applicants that currently have an active, paid membership with Airline Apps may quickly and instantly apply by selecting “Delta Air Lines” in their Job Targeting section. After selecting Delta Air Lines, the only thing left to do is complete the addendum and insure your completed application is published. Users that have previously completed a single-application may now choose to upgrade to an Airline Apps membership for access to this timesaving feature.

Not only do members avoid the hassle of re-typing data, but greatly benefit from the convenience of always accessing only one, single-source account for completing updates for several airlines. As with each of our participating airlines, you may select “single application” to apply at no charge however, if you had a previous paid account, you may need to contact us so we can adjust your account.

Please visit Delta’s website for additional hiring news and information. We wish you all best of luck in becoming part of the Delta pilot group.

For employment for positions other than pilots, please access Delta’s Career Opportunities page at www.delta.com .
