You can hangar a large GA fleet if you have the facilities and the resources to do so. ERAU just chose not to, and as a result they are now paying the price for it. UND has to- otherwise aircraft wouldn't start when the temps were down near zero Fahrenheit (or colder).

I think before they figured they would take their chances. Only recently has the lack of hangers seem to be hurting them. I bet now they are really looking into housing them all.
