NE,

Sure- and UND definitely has a greater need in the grand scope of things. Between the low temps and strong winds in the winter (I've personally seen up to 100 knots sustained during a blizzard- enough to rotate an empty 727 onto its tail), and the thunderstorms/hail/tornadoes in the summer, DAB is more aircraft friendly on the average bad weather day (aside from the salt/corrosion issues).

I was simply pointing out that it's not impossible to hangar a large fleet daily Last I heard there were about 85 aircraft based in GFK, that's more than ERAU has at DAB from what I've seen in the press.

Losing a fleet like Riddle did sucks. It sucks, regardless of who's aircraft they are... The ERAU higher ups just need to evaluate the odds and determine if the risk/chances of a similar event are worth spending the money on proper hangars that can survive such events.
