You got any other ways to objectively compare us and SWA? Honest question. Seems like we are going to need some numbers going into negotiations. Not just "they make a lot more than dal and have better QOL"
As I said.. no, I don't have any good metric to compare the two groups. Partially because of the antiquated belief that a 747 captain is somehow more important than a A330 captain or a DC9 captain or.... but really, if pay is first and foremost, then we have to draw a dot at the comparable mission and work it from there. I understand what you were doing with the TAFB addition too, but that only tells part of the story.. but a good effort nonetheless. Like I said in an earlier post too, it is a real shame that the commuter airline that flies 737s has become the gold standard.. kind of telling about the industry, no? I can tell you this without having to stretch too much.. because of pattern bargaining, the SWA 737 will set some sort of dot on the payscales, and it will be worked from there.. probably..
