Pay starts at sign in and stops at the hotel. Min day of 6.5. That would drive trip construction that minimize sits and and long layovers. Better reserve rules, heck just some rules would be nice. Implement those and I'd be happy with the current rates and scheduled raises. I bet those would put more in your W2 and give you more days home than big rate raises.
I actually agree with you on that one! I was thinking more in terms of just improvements to current work rules as advocated by Flamer. But if you want to completely revamp the work rules and how we get paid... and if that change puts our W-2's back at the same level of buying power this profession has typically afforded... well I don't have a problem with that at all. I completely agree that we should be paid the entire time we are at work.
