Its pathetic that Delta pilots do not get paid until the damn Beacon is flashing. I've been at the gate with the door closed, full of pax, ticket on the line if S$#@ hits the fan with NO PAY because the beacon is not flashing. Who in DALPA ever accepted this deal?
At least :45 min pre & :30 min post pay each flight. Clock starts with main door closed... think most of the old North fleet is still brakes released / door closed = $$$.

I suggested this a while back and it didn't get rave reviews. I agree with you. If I can be held liable for something I do before or after a flight, then I want to be compensated for it. This could be something we push for on the "work rules" side as well as a $ increase per hour. You might see some folks jumping ship to domestic if it happens. The shuttle guys would really increase their net pay.
