I've been hearing rumors of a dramatic downsizing of SJU, starting in April. Can you pass on any inside information about this base and its prospects for the future?

Thanks!
There were rumors of drastic downsizing of SJU about 6 months ago. They werent offering any open slots (even to newhires) and thinks looked bleak. About 2 months ago things changed and they started adding back some flights and crews to SJU, and we have seen lots of newhires sent there over the past few classes. I think youll be set.

The ATRs are on a different operating certificate, Executive Airlines which is owned by American Eagle Airlines. The Executive certificate HQ is in SJU, as well as all of the management, dispatchers, schedulers, etc. I really dont think it will close. It is a very unique base and the flying is amazing. You and the wife will have a blast! Enjoy.
