Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my post. When I was talking about increasing the amount of airplanes I wasn;t talking about exansion (ie Q400 deliveries). I meant that not only are we combining seniority lists we are also combining fleets and ratio of CA slots to aircraft will stay the same.
My point is that if you are close to upgrading in the jet at 9E then you will still be just as close after the integration. It's all relative math.
Sure there is the possibility that a select few 9L guys may cross bid to a different a/c but it is not going to be that many. I'd be willing to bet that just like many 9E/XJ guys don;t want to come to our bases to fly a turboprop an EQUAL amount of 9L guys don't want to go to DTW or MSP to fly an RJ unless they live there.
I'd love to see someone actually run the three lists DOH and relative seniority just so we can see exactly what we are talking about. I'm sure it will raise eyebrows on BOTH sides of the argument.
