The ATRs are on a different operating certificate, Executive Airlines which is owned by American Eagle Airlines. The Executive certificate HQ is in SJU, as well as all of the management, dispatchers, schedulers, etc. I really dont think it will close. It is a very unique base and the flying is amazing. You and the wife will have a blast! Enjoy.
Well kinda, they are moving management and the operation to Miami progressively actually. Setting themselves up for a strong divestiture.
