Ellsworth AFB will pick up the MQ9 RPV mission in 2012. I am an airline pilot looking to retire and sleep in my own bed every night (I know...crazy maybe but the mission interests me). Interested in joining this mission (civilian or military) but hitting road blocks at every turn (including AFPC). 1-2 years ago, there were plenty of opportunities for Retired and Reserve recall to active duty. However, those programs are closed and in fact, the USAF is in the process of RIFing about 4,000 officers. Your best bet is to go through USAjobs and look for a GS or other civilian or contractor job.
