All of the AWAC guys that commute on AA from DFW/STL/ORD/DCA must have been exceptions then...
When I worked for Corporate Airlines, I hated AMR with all my heart as well. However, I flew AA a few times in the spring (military orders & my honeymoon) and AA customer service went totally above and beyond and provided me excellent service in the face of multiple equipment mechanicals. Now, as a
paying passenger, American is my very first choice.
