The truth of the matter is that UAL is no longer nor probably ever will be a firm which grows organically again. The domestic market is saturated and internationally there are much better products and foreign carriers continue to grow.

I think it is sad when the only catalyst left to create career progression is retirements. Yet we keep dangling this carrot in front of ourselves as a means to keep plowing ahead. After 12 years, I've lost all appetite for carrots, either this one or a JCBA much less the prospect of having another 500+ placed ahead of me.
