Wasn't there a UAL 777 at IAD that got both engines cashed in a few years ago because the ARFF used foam instead of just water? Kind of awesome on your last taxi-in due to no fault of your own.
That's what I heard and I thought that was the end of yet another airline tradition. But I'm not 100% sure that is a fact.
