From what I remember with the Garmin 430 and the standard King Air Collins electro mech HSI you'll have to fly in heading mode to track any of the GPS courses. Kind of a hassle, and defeats the wonder of the GPS, doesn't it? I've flown one switched to a Sandel EHSI and all is good. I don't know if the King Air Collins EHSI's work that way.
