I'm almost near completion of my PPL and about to go on my checkride, however to be honest i'm quite fed up with the non-sense at my current part141 school, and also having some financial issues which has caused me to put this on hold at the moment. I've already taken 84 hours at my current school, completed the CATS test, and they're requirements. Besides getting my account funds back, I also know they have a file on me which includes my flying info, cats test results, etc. Is it general practice to attain your files before leaving?

I'm just not sure how to go about this, I would like to get all my info from my current school, and be able to hand it to a new school when the time comes. Guidance is appreciated. thanks
