Where has Obama been for us? Didn't pilot unions donate heavily to put him in office?

Golf course... and Brazil. You couldn't see this coming say, during the campaign?

Why are our salaries so low when we risked our lives getting here? All for what? A kick in the ass $20K/annual our first year at the regionals.

Because people are willing to work for that. Capatalism defined.

What about the fact that in 1978, the day before dereg., a 10 year 737 capt. made the 2011 equivalent of $254K. Today that same position only pays $152K.

Because the gov't is no longer footing the bill on routes that lose money.

What about the fact that the president of the ATA doesn't give a rats ass (CBS News) about the crew that perished aboard the Colgan flight having to commute into work since they were too damn poor to afford hotel rooms the night before at their base and start work rested instead of exhausted? "Awe. They could have found a hotel in the area for 35 bucks." BS! a $35 hotel might as well be a million dollar one if you have to work at Starbuck's on your days off just to pay the bills. That arrogant stain is completely out of touch with the reality that's costing us our lives!!

Not to **** on anyones grave, but they decided to work there, and they accepted the commute and wages. Here's a question for you, where's the call for personal responsibility?

What about The Pentagon spending $256 BILLION on the F35 Joint Tactical Strike Fighter, a weapons system of questioned relevance, yet they don't have a few billion to fix the nations airlines and ridiculous pilot pay.

Completely irrelevant, and if I'm hearing you right you'd sacrifice our future war fighting ability, so subsidize your paycheck. The F-35 debate is another discussion, and one I'd be happy to enlighten you on.

Pilots on food stamps.

Find another line of work, again.. say it with me... Personal Responsibility

Loss of pensions.

No argument here, it's criminal that airlines were allowed to liquidate them.

Those ridiculous TSA-blue shirts they make the JetBlue guys wear!!!!

Again, no argument. A bunch of GED holding monkeys with federal jobs, that as near as anyone can tell have never prevented anything other than ontime performance.

No assistance with repaying or forgiveness of student loans.

Responsibility seems to be a recurring theme here. You took on the debt, you pay it off. Why should anyone help you, or forgive it? If you took on $100K for a $19K/year job, you didn't do your homework. Would you go pay $50K for a 1984 Ford Tempo, then ask the bank to forgive you?

Our opponents tell us that our pay is so low because of the recession and supply and demand. BS! If that were the case, teachers would be making a lot more that $40K a year. Also, the Chrysler and Empire State buildings both went up after The Great Depression set in, yet the steel hangers who erected them weren't paid a fraction of their worth simply because there were 50 other guys lined up waiting to do their jobs if they didn't like their pay. Supply and demand is an EXCUSE!

You just nullified your own arguement. The steel workers would have rather had a 50cent/hour job, than no job at all. And they knew there were 100 guys behind them willing to take that job if they didn't want it. Sound like any familiar jobs relevent to this thread???

Shall I continue??

Okay.

How about the fact that Chapter 11 is used by the airlines as a tool by which to defraud us of what is rightfully our since we aren't collateralize lenders. Airlines go into bankruptcies yet their executives are still given multi-million dollar bonuses, even thought there have been laws passed to keep them from getting those chapter 11 bonuses.

When a BOD brings someone in as CEO with a stated goal, and they meet that goal, they usually are paid whatever was negotiated before hand. If reaching that goal means CH 11, then so be it. I'm not saying I agree, and fattening your bottom line on the backs of your employees may be not be moral, it's not illegal.

Ugly flight attendants.

After this whole diatribe, you close with this?

This is my last post for a while. I want to see what you guys have to say.
