When booking a connecting flight, can you book a ticket using co-terminal airports? For example, I have a friend using a pass from ORD - JFK - AMM. If the flights sell out to JFK, can I book the pass ORD - LGA and JFK - AMM? The Shuttle runs between ORD and LGA, so it's much easier than trying to get on one of the four RJ's to JFK. I think the computer will let me book the pass this way, but I don't want to get into trouble. Thanks!
Yes, just book it ORD-LGA, then add/subtract flights as needed. You can also do open-jaw on a buddy pass (ie, ORD-LGA-JFK-AMM then fly out of say, TLV-JFK-ORD). You can also change it once they have started their trip, so say the decide instead of flying out of AMM they want to go to Tel Aviv and fly out of there. Cost 25$ to change over the phone, free on TravelNet. (if Travelnet won't do it, it will tell you to call reservations then it would be free).
