Don't buy into that too much. I have worked for 3 different airlines and I never knew anyone there before I applied. Got every job I interviewed for.
Here is the thing...I have the required or in most cases exceeded many of the regionals requirements that I have applied to, but then you hear about places like Pinnacle hiring people with 300 hrs ??? It's kinda discouraging to say the least.
