Yep... I'm an ERJ driver and I'm sitting at home right now. Technically next week we could stay home as well. It is what they call a "flex" week, however the general consensus is that you want to go up to the school house to utilize the instructors for any help you may need.

ATR guys have no CBT so they stay during the entire training...and they do part of their checkride in the actual airplane.

And yeah, the FADEC is pure magic!
