Frustrating as the CFI's that left for the regionals before I started got hired on with almost non-existent multi time.
Also VERY frustrating to see some regionals hiring guys just out of school with barely 300 hrs.
Depressing to read all the negative comments in these forums about CFI time being next to worthless. I definitely feel that I am a much stronger pilot today after all of the varied situations/weather I've been through than at 300 hrs.
So yeah, the multi time req.s need to come down before these so called half-filled classes get more new meat.
Apply at Great Lakes. You meet their minimums. You'll get to build your ME time and then you can move on to a better regional after a few months if you don't like it there. Better than waiting around wishing minimums get lowered in my opinion.
