Even better than that when below 10000 in level flight and then assigned a climb, hit FLC or SPEED, then shove the thrust levers up to climb power in one quick motion.
I prefer doing it the other way around: when it's time to descend, hit the speed mode and then yank the levers to idle. Don't forget to put both hands up in the air!
