Interesting indeed.

Richard: "...we've taken on the tough issues such as fixed pension costs and the like..." Absolutely no mention of the fact that the employees took this hit and are still making the airline run like a champ.

Richard: "...I think we at Delta have the second lowest unit cost of any other airline in the world..." Absolutely no mention of the fact that the employees work for those wages and still make the airline run like a champ.

I don't blame Richard for wanting to be the world's largest airline with the second lowest unit costs. But it's shameful that we pilots have allowed our union to continue this behavior without even a hint of trying to raise us above bankruptcy wages.
