Sounds a lot like what I was told when I was hired at Mesaba...(15 -900s, fast upgrades, yada yada). They're trying to sell the position to you, they want to paint a pretty picture because chances are if they'll hire you so will everyone else.

As far as upgrade being based on domicile that's not quite how it works... For example, the most senior FO at EWR may not be able to hold a line at IAH (just an illustration, no idea on how senior each base is). The bottom line is seniority has everything to do with while domicile has nothing. The 3-5 year upgrade figure would be nice, but that could also mean one year and furloughed because none of us have any clue what the brainiacs in the front office are dreaming up.

Take it with a grain of salt and hope for the best, plan for the worst. My .02, I wouldn't have left my current gig and jumped back on board if I didn't think things were looking good. You'll either learn to be flexible with this industry, or you'll leave it for "greener" pastures.
