In all the commuting I did on those things between LIT-ATL, which off the top of head I'm thinking is not a lot shorter than PIT-ATL, I've seen them go out with a couple of empty seats for weight and balance. Yep, historically, cargo went first before passengers, and definitely before non-revs. They may have had some time critical cargo that was heavier then normal. Saw that a lot too. The 50 is not a good jet for non-revs, or cargo. Many times we sent a U-Haul truck up to the ski resorts with the skis that we could not carry.
