No they didn't download advanced task killer. What is it?

I've had a family plan with T-Mobile for 8 years now and have, on the whole, been very happy with them so I stayed. Not sure what the merger will mean but I figure the actual merger will take a year if I don't like AT&T after that then I only have a year left.

The wifi calling is an app that came preloaded on the phone. I'm figuring it doesn't work to well 'cause it's having problems connecting to a wifi network. Skype works fine.

"Advanced Task Killer Free" is in the Android Market. I use it a few times a day to kill all the crapware using up memory and cpu. Not sure about TMo, but most carriers seem to pre load Android phones with a few programs that load on startup and stay loaded while the phone is on. Quite annoying if you don't use Facebook or Twitter or whatever crapware they decided to force upon you.

There are several other apps that I consider essential for Android phones but I am sure my list differs from other Android users in this thread. As I recall on some Samsungs, Google Maps is not preloaded (and thus the freebie Goggle Navigation is not loaded), I also use an alternative gmail app called K-9, a volume control program with individual sliders for each ring/sound/notification/alarm and of course Firefox for iCrew. I have also used Radar Now while flight planning because it shows me a better wx radar depiction than ... um ... AmishAir.com. There are a few others that I won't list here.

Send me a PM if u need more help or suggestions and enjoy the freedom of a phone unfettered by Der Fuehrer Steve Jobs.

P.S. Grab that Tmo unlimited data plan and sit on it thru the merger. ATT has no more unlimited plans, the TMo plan is way cheap for unlimited, and you would likely be grandfathered on that plan after the merger.
