That's certainly up to you. Unless you have a fuel totalizer, you really don't know if you burned 3.2 gallons on that leg, so not sure what that does for you.

But, time is important. When you get lost/ diverting / dogging TS/CB's, etc, you need to know time and fuel burn per the manual to know reserve.
