I'm highly considering getting the CFII, yet money is tight. Does anyone know of any company (whether it is banner towing, mapping, or even flight instructing) that would be willing to hire someone with my experience. I am willing to take anything to build my hours. Seems like most places want 1000 hrs TT and pt. 61 schools want someone with 1000 hrs of dual given for instruction. Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
If you DO....decide to get your MEI,...do yourself a favor and ASK whoever you're interviewing with at whatever flight school, what their policy is on making sure you GET multi-students, and thus multi-time. If they keep throwing one PVT student at you after another or say "You have to cultivate your students up to Multi", you'll NEVER get any multi-time. Your MEI will be as useless as tits on a boar. I just wasted the last 18 months at a flight school waiting and waiting and waiting for the little Mussolini that runs it to give me a Multi-walk-in and it NEVER happened. I logged 4 hours of duel-multi in that time (18 months) and the only reason I got 4 hours was because a buddy of mine came in to get his MEI from me.
