I started training at a relatively big school and paid $135 for a Skyhawk and $55 for the instructor. About 25 hours and 4 months later, I really felt like I was wasting my money. As fate or chance would have it, the school went out of business so I immediately switched to a mom and pa FBO. Have been there ever since and their prices range from $96 for the Skyhawks and $76 for the 150. In your case, I would try to get the PPL done since you are so close and then, I think it's a no-brainer that you should look elsewhere. Good luck!
