I fly in socal a bit. I have to say that yes it is very busy. But, the controllers are very accomidating out there. They are almost never too busy to help a person out.
I LOVE that about Socal.
Down here in Miami if the controller has to use his noggin or actually work for a while they will be cranky and not want to talk to you
That's when you file IFR and **** them off!
