Default Changing paths- need advice

I know there are tons of threads about "considering a career" but I need more help, so.

I am 20 years old, completed 2 years of college (business related courses), and am really thinking about switching over to an aviation program at another college.I am currently taking general business-related courses, and I sit in class thinking [delete] "This stuff is so boring!" I have done some research and found a college locally that has aviation programs. Also, I have not yet started to take any flight training. I know this will set me behind a little bit, but I think I am willing to take the risk to become a pilot. so my questions are:

1. Should you get an aviation degree? How would a Corporate and General Aviation degree weigh to others?
2. I know the aviation industry is very competitive, but Is it almost nearly impossible to get a well-paying, stable job as most people on this site make it seem to be?
3. Are the beginning stages of the career as a pilot "that miserable?"
4. Does anyone have experience with Metro state college of Denver?

Any other advice/stories/information would be greatly appreciated!
