Even on some aviation boards folks seen to get excited about WAAS in an iPad. Personally, can't figure it out. You don't even need WAAS to fly an LNAV instrument approach - all WAAS really gives you from an aviation standpoint is (a) vertical guidance approaches and (b) the ability to forego having gound-based systems on board.

Neither of which mean a hill of beans in the context of an iPad.
