Now, now,so many accusations and never any evidence. So if beating back accusations of improprieties was as much a part of the game as the actual football playing then Auburn is still undefeated.

Reminds me of that Thayer Evans guy from the NYT. When Texas was doing good he was lambasting them about improprities, when Texas faltered and fell from the spotlight he was no where to be found. Same with Auburn, get in the spotlight and here come the tag-a-long reporters. And HBO joins the list while admitting, hey, we have no evidence.

fwiw, one of the local radio guys here named John Kincaid has a national syndicated show on ESPN radio and fills in for Cowherd. Last year he had an interview with an ESPN reporter, think Joe Schad, about Cam and evidently blew holes in the reporter's story and as you'd expect ESPN quickly responded - by threatening Kincaid for as he said not toting the company line. But according to another of the sports talk guys here in ATL one of the ESPN reporters was reprimanded by ESPN for the quality of his work on Cam Newton story. Evidently he goes through 2 or 3 fact checkers now before ESPN will let him report. Of course, ESPN headline "Four former Auburn players got cash." Not "Four former Auburn players claim they got cash." Not a fan of ESPN and their motives and all you need to know is how they're guys say the game on ESPN that night will be "really close" when you know better.

Still like this line from one of the, many many many, Auburn players who said they never got paid was that if McClover was paid he must have been taking the money and putting it into a 401K because he was always broke.
