They get the benefit because they are airline pilots. What would it say about ALPA to make this exclusive? ALPA getting this done show the benefit of our union its pull to all of the other independents. It took 10 year, all have tried and only ALPA working with the ATA and the DHS got this done. Great on them. It is our due dollars at work.
Stating that they need to be worried about something more important is so fricken typical. A few months ago people were screaming that ALPA needed to get this done to show true value. They have and now everyone is acting very ungrateful. It illustrates the biggest issue this union and this country face. (Its all about me)
Spin? No.. just an argument as to why those of us that pay dues to alpa are supporting everybody else in this industry. Personally, I don't think SWAPA nor APA should be allowed to use it... if... as you say... it was all ALPA that did this. I'm tired of ALPA being magnanimous with MY dues money. If other groups wanna play.. pay up. You say it shows the benefits of ALPA... again, and again, and again... So if you think SWAPA are gonna join ALPA you are so clueless that words fail me.
And how is stating that their being worried about their self interests is "fricken typical"? It's smart. They spend their dues monies on issues that affect SWA pilots... And ALPA will NEVER require any benefits that they achieve to be paid for by those other guys, so why would they join? Smart... Your statement reeks of frustration in that you know I am right. Personally, and this is my
personal point of view.. I couldn't care less about crewpass. Yes I hate going thru security, but it's not worth the angst. As long as there is a crew line, and we don't have to take off our shoes or go thru that radiation thingy, I'm OK... It's 10 minutes out of my life... BFD...
