That is actually a very interesting question. If crews are having a hard time with their initial going to work check-in, then it is the crewmember's fault. Like many others, I commute, and I am ALWAYS there in plenty of time to make my flight. If it occurs mid rotation, it seems that it would be in the company's best interest to ensure that the wheels are greased so that getting thru security does not require being at the airport 2 hours ahead of push... (think about the new crew duty issues that are coming to light) Just an opinion...
