At CAL we have a very senior 777FO who was part of the national coverage last fall when these imaging machines went online. She was one who refused to go through the machines, but because she had a hip or knee replacement would have to go through the pat-down routine. She refused and to this day has not come back to work and has been waiting for this to happen.

Now it could be argued this is her choosing, but it could be argued that as a documented airline worker who has gone through her background and fingerprint check she doesn't need to be patted-down. She made it to work every day until this change last fall AND she will again when they roll this new Known Crewmember Program out. Please tell me what exactly is the difference for her? She will still be verified but avoid all the groping that she would have to go through today.

I'm on her side in this and do feel that she is having trouble getting to work.
