Thanks for posting that. It does not however cover the fuzzy math use of WS, vacation buyback, a full month of ALPA trip drop work and picking up a GS, etc.
I too would like to see actual dollar figures reported to coroborate the policy you quoted and factually confirm or disprove the concerns raised. I agree its our money and we have every right to see where it's spent.
You can always access DALPA's LM-2, it's publicly available to get the cash numbers.
But strictly looking at the policy manual, its states that vacation loss do to ALPA work will be covered in accordance with ALPA's Administrative manual. I looked it up, it's covered in section 060-O (pg63).
It goes into great detail on how the vacation bank works. Without pasting the entire section, it essentially gives them back the same number of days that they lost due to ALPA work. Lose 3 days of vacation, get 3 back. Kind of messes up your vacation plans though when it breaks your vacation up. No reimbursement for that. The cash buy back is covered in the same manner that the volunteers contract stipulates.
Getting late for me, early get up tomorrow, but I assume GS and WS are covered in the same manner as any other pilot, in accordance with our contract. Work on your days off, get more money. Of course the full time guys don't get nearly as many days off as the rest of us. Call your rep and ask him how his WS/GS are paid.
