That's true Nevets. My comment wasn't hate directed at Xjet or ASA. I like both those companies and wish them the best. I just wanted to counter all the pro-union people who want to see Skywest do poorly. The Skywest division probably made a profit last quarter.

I'd much rather work for a non-union company. I was with Skywest and loved it. Now that i'm with CAL, I have an even larger appreciation for how much better it is to work for a non-union carrier.
The Gods must just like Skywest airlines better since what you quoted as being the reason ASA/XJT were hit harder was due to weather. Skyerst would have fared the same if they had the bases ASA/XJT have.

Don't think I didn't notice how Skywest fared poorly on their pro-rate flying. That must mean that ASA/XJT are better since the cost of jet fuel went up.

But then again, another reason was the increased training crew cost for the additional summer block hours that ASA/XJT is getting. I guess that means that Unical and DAL must know ASA/XJT is better.

None of the factors given had anything to do with union labor! jetblue, virgin America, allegiant are all hiring by the way.
