Middleton - David Sherman Crighton Jr., 70, passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The husband of Anne Wallace Crighton, who survives, he was a pilot at FedEx for 27 years.

Mr. Crighton was born September 30, 1940 in Clarksdale, MS to the late David Sherman Crighton, Sr. and Evelyn Bailey Crighton and lived many years in Memphis. He received his BA degree from Mississippi State. He served his country as a marine helicopter pilot captain during Vietnam, was highly decorated and a Distinguished Flying Cross recipient.
