Default Career Decision - Background

Hi I am new to the forum but I have a very serious question to lead off with

I had a Disorderly Conduct Violation 5 years ago and was about to expunge it but found out that because I did not pay for a camp ground fee that I can't do this in Oregon for 8 years. I am verifying this with a second lawyer but it doesn't sound that good.

I was about to start flight training full time. I have 300 hours and I am about to take my IFR check ride. I am 28 now and this happened five years ago from this fall when I was 24. When I am 30-31 and it is 6-7 years in my past how big of deal is this going to be.

I want some straight answers on if I would get hired at 31 with say one check ride failure and the clean driving record I currently possess. As I am about to start a family in a few years I don't want to be drowning in debt. I can always fly a Cessna around and get a CFI but this was my dream.

I am looking for is this a 10% problem or a 50% problem.

Thanks!
