EMB @ ORD

How much flying are U getting.....

I'm flying every day that I've been on reserve. Getting close normally to the max hrs can be flow. (30 in 7 days, 100 in last 30 day)

I'm averaging about 80 to 90 a month.

Did U get a line yet.....

No way I can get a line in 2 months... Actually I could get one in SJU ATR or DFW ATR. It going to take me at least 4 to 5 months to get a composite line. Which is a combination between reserve days and line trips.

How's life as a new hire from your perspective......

Life as a new hire is not bad, we have a couple of nice overnights, a lot of flying, and fun. Payment is enough to survive every month. Per Diem is the extra money that you can save for the future.

If you know someone in one of the bases and you can stay at their place it will be easier for you for that 1st year. Bid by base and try not to commute...
