So time to stir the pot. I talked to a friend last night who was a lynx guy. He said the list has been approved by the Feds. Just in time for my class on the 18th. What are the chances they cancel it or furlough if enough guys accept a recall? He said I could be safe but who knows. History dictates that you wouldn't be furloughed. You'd be let go and considered a preferential new hire when they need you. That said, I don't think anyone expects many Lynx & Midwest guys will come back. At least not enough to disrupt a moderate level of hiring.
As far as not hearing anything from HR- thats not unusual for RAH. Like every other department in the company, they are short staffed. One person does the job of three. I wouldn't be surprised if two or three days before class you get an email concerning accommodations and travel. Maybe shoot your hiring contact an email. Welcome to the suck and get ready to strike.
