Skynet will often say a flight is oversold only to have 30 plus seats open, or make it seem the flight is wide open and one hour later it's oversold. I realize there can be offloading, delays and cancellations but I'm just trying to get a general idea of how reliable the numbers are on employee-res. Thanks in advance for any input.
And to add to what was said immediately above, was told that barring any of the unforeseen circumstances mentioned, once inside 24hrs the totals usually are pretty accurate. It was explained to me that the all the tickets sold on Travelocity, etc. become official in the system within the 24 hour mark. Just another piece of information if that helps you.
