Delta owns Comair. They can do whatever they want with it, including reducing the fleet, without having tk pay for it. Delta's contract with other contractors requires acostly buyout to reduce flying. In short, reducing Comair's fleet was convenient.

I wouldn't count on Delta renewing any 50 seat contracts but I think existing contracts are safe.
